Postcard from Poitiers

« Oui ? » asked the very serious-looking policemen. « C’est pour visiter la salle… » I said before being cut off. There were too many people who were attending court proceedings at the Palais de Justiceas opposed to just wanting a nose around the Salle de Pas-Perdus. After asking what time we should come back, the policeman relented and led us through the airport-style security. « La salle unique », he warned us as we headed through the double doors.

We visited Poitiers as international house sitters in between gigs in December 2018. In addition to the city’s medieval connections, we found an excellent Moroccan restaurant and a lively craft beer scene. If you’re interested in becoming international house sitters, check out our house sitting tips pages. We’ve found nearly all of our house sits with TrustedHousesitters.com and we really recommend joining the site.
